I’m G.P. Selvaggio, an artist and picture-maker based in the Hudson Valley but often working elsewhere.
I work in the field in a documentary register, taking a diaristic approach to my photography practice. My work is being accumulated in whatever order life decides to hand it over.
I spent my early years watching people perform hospitality, seduction, grievance, discretion, and emotion at close range, learning as I went how to read the whole damn thing. I’ve spent the years since producing experiential work at scale, on projects ranging from pop-up nightclubs built in a weekend to Big Tech mega-conferences.
My photography has been shown in galleries and published in print, and my commissioned work spans founder portraits, nightlife, editorial, and events.
I am not a street photographer. I do shoot people, though. *pew pew!*
